Ingredients

1 kg cherries (any variety)
600 ml water
600 g Dansukker Cane Sugar Granulated per litre of strained liquid

Rinse the berries and put them in a pan. Add the water, cover and boil for 5 minutes. Mash the berries and boil for 5 minutes more. Strain the mixture through a jelly cloth for 30 minutes. Clean the saucepan. Measure the liquid and pour it back into the pan. Bring back to the boil, then stir in the sugar and boil for 2 minutes. Pour into warm, sterilised bottles. Seal.
